In January of each year, our high school scholarship applications open to our high school seniors. At this time, emails go out to all seniors, parents, and mentors. That email notification provides instructions about how to access scholarship applications, and it also advises of the scholarship deadline, which is typically the last day of February. Applications can be accessed by logging into your ACE profile at www.acementor.org. You cannot apply for an ACE scholarship if you are not registered in the ACE database.
NOTE: Your mentor MUST mark you "active" in the database in order for your scholarship application to be live.
The application process takes a bit of time, and you will need to collect information such as transcripts and recommendation letters. DO NOT wait until the last minute to start/complete your application.
Several reminders go out to all students, teachers, and mentors. Please do not ignore these reminders. There will be absolutely no extensions given to the deadline. You will have at least six weeks to complete your application which is plenty of time to turn in a complete and thorough application. It is up to you to use your time wisely but please keep in mind that our scholarship committee DOES read each application and can easily tell which students have spent a lot of time and thought on their essays and overall application. The committee can also easily tell which students took shortcuts with AI. Please remember that scholarship award amounts are based in large part on application authenticity and larger amounts will be awarded to those that have put in the time and effort to submit an authentic, complete application.
We will host a virtual scholarship award presentation in April before your college commitment day and will also announce these awards at our end of year presentation event in May. Good luck! We look forward to receiving your applications and providing financial support for your future education.
